Circa Waves is following in the footsteps of indie rock artists before them that have capitalized on the surfer rock vibe. There isn’t anything on this EP that I would wax poetic about, but I think it has the right sound for quite a few folks, and for that alone is worth some spins. They tackle big ticket items with their lyrics, like the disillusionment of growing up, and that kind of lyrical depth is always worth appreciating. This is an EP you can depend on to cheer you up and get a lil’ head nod goin’.
