Post-Hardcore kings bring the noise
Post-Hardcore has always been a divisive genre, full of energy, heavy guitars and shifting time-signatures. Some feel that the genre is too extreme, I on the other hand, think it’s one of the most fun to listen to out there. So I was excited to hear the latest album from Post-Hardcore masters …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead (AYWKUBTTOD). Despite having one of the most ridiculous band names out there, they always bring the goods when it comes to their music, and their latest album is no different. Each track is filled to the brim with blistering guitars and energetic vocals designed to get the listener’s head moving. What sets …AYWKUBTTOD apart from the standard Post-Hardcore bands are their acute sense melody that they bring to the table so that even if you’re one of the people who generally dislike the genre, you’ll still find something to enjoy. Still, this is an album that any fan of Post-Hardcore would love to have in their collection.
