KJHK hosted the semi-final round of Farmers’ Ball 2016 on Saturday, April 16, 2016. The event took place in downtown Lawrence, at the Bottleneck, and hosted over 500 local music lovers attended the event. The event started at 8PM and voting took place at 1AM.
Eight local acts competed throughout the evening to reach the final round, which takes place on Saturday, April 23. The eight acts who competed, in order, were: Raymond, Not Like Igor, Real Adults, Minimal Animal, Westerners, Jipetto, Arc Flash, and Spencer Mackenzie Brown Band. Here are a few photos of the event.
Finals takes place this upcoming Saturday and feature the four final bands: Arc Flash, Minimal Animal, Real Adults and Spencer Mackenzie Brown Band. Doors open at 8PM and the event will start at 9PM. Prizes at stake are $4,000 in cash prizes overall!
