Charts & Adds: Week of 10/16-10/23

We’ve got some new faces in our top 5 this week, along with some really exciting adds! Give a few of these albums a listen if you’re looking for new tunes!

Top 5 Charts:

1.) Yves Tumor – Safe in the Hands of Love

Safe in the Hands of Love is as powerful as it is unpredictable. Yves Tumor (Sean Bowie) has crafted a truly unique work of avantgarde electronic music, with elements of experimental noise and expressive R&B.

2.) Lala Lala – The Lamb

Lillie West, the 24 year old Chicago based songwriter behind Lala Lala is back with their 2nd LP and debut on Hardly Art. The album is “chock full o’ hooks, roaring guitars, and palpable emotion.” Lala Lala will be opening for WHY? at recordBar on Tuesday, November 6th.

3.) BROCKHAMPTON – iridescence

(From a previous week) The hip hop collective’s newest album takes a more artistic turn than their prior Saturation trilogy, with a new lineup and a balance between mosh-pit bangers and melodic moments.

4.) Death Valley Girls – Darkness Rains

LA’s Death Valley Girls are at number four with their third studio album Darkness Rains. The band remains as explosive and passionate as ever, and continue to bring elements of classic and punk rock together seamlessly.

5.) Baby Jey – Someday Cowboy

Baby Jey, not to be confused with our own mascot Baby Jay, are a group from Edmonton making dynamic folk-pop. There’s a wide variety of instrumentation on Someday Cowboy that creates a vivid landscape for feelings of nostalgia and reflection.
